In this paper we derive the biblical economic norms as the alternative for the mainstream normative economics based upon Utilitarianism. Biblical economic norms are different from those of mainstream economics in terms of economic justice, economic evaluation and value for community.
These differences lead to the discrepancy in decision making on resource allocation, work and distribution. Thus, the mainstream normative economics should include wider realities in normative economic analysis which have been excluded so far but included in the analysis in biblical economics such as more diverse preferences (altruistic preference) and incentives, and cultural diversities. This will enhance the economic justice more than before.
