2016년[제3권 제1호] 기독교경제학의 영역과 과제

기독교경제학 연구는 경제학의 연구방법론과 경제원리에 입각해 기독교를 주제로 연구하는 합리적 접근과 기독교교리에 입각해 경제학을 재구성하거나 변혁하려고 연구하는 교의적 접근의 두 가지 큰 흐름으로 요약할 수 있다. 두 가지접근방법은 공통적으로 한 가지 가치나 덕목에 지나치게 의존하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 이에 대한 대안은 실제적 기독교경제학이다. 이것은 기독교교리를 수용하는 데는 변함이 없지 경제학의기본가정이나 접근방법을 개선하여 기독교와 경제학의 잠재적 갈등을 극복하고 조화를 이루는 방향으로 기독교경제학의 연구방향을 제시한다.

Researches on Christian economics carried out in two distinct ways: one adopts the rational approach that applies the principles and methodology of neoclassical economics to issues associated with Christianity, and the other adopts the dogmatic approach that evaluates and criticize economics based on Scripture and Christian theology. The rationalist approach regards Christianity as one of its many research subjects, while the dogmatic approach endeavors to renovate or even revolutionize the way economics is applied so that it could fit in with the teachings of Christianity. However, these approaches tend toward the extremes, emphasizing specific values or virtues they embrace at the cost of neglecting the benefits of the other approach. As an alternative to these approaches, the eclectic approach adopts the directions of Christian theology without giving up on the benefits from the analytical rigor and plausibility of neoclassical economics. The eclectic approach removes the possible conflicts of ideas between Christianity and economics and suggests a more balanced research method to reconcile two approaches.
